TNK-BP Outsources IT Services with 17,500 Jobs to the Optima Group of Companies

TNK-BP is consistently outsourcing IT services for improving its business performance and reducing its costs. The company is extensively using latest IT technologies for maintaining the production level in its brownfields and creating systems for management and monitoring of its assets, investing approximately $200 million into IT services every year.

The services and products provided by Optima include uninterrupted and trouble-free operation of computer hardware and software, office equipment, and special equipment. TNK-BP is also outsourcing scheduled preventive maintenance and repair works. For three years, Optima will be providing IT support and maintenance services to company enterprises in Moscow, Ryazan, Saratov, Tyumen, Nizhnevartovsk, Raduzhnoe, Nyagan, Novosibirsk, Novy Urengoi, Orenburg and the Orenburg Region.

“Timely and high-quality support and maintenance of the IT infrastructure is very important for TNK-BP and continuity of its business processes,” said Martin Pilecky, Vice President, IT, TNK-BP. “Our company is operating all over the country, for which reason one of the most important criteria for selection of an external provider of IT services was its presence in the required regions for prompt response to our needs and provision of high-quality solutions for our tasks. The Optima Group of companies suits our requirements best.”

“This is not the first contract of the Optima Group of companies in the oil sector,” said Vladimir Dubovoy, Vice President, Optima Group of companies. “Nevertheless, cooperation with one of the largest oil companies in the world imposes additional responsibilities and obligations. We are confident that Optima will demonstrate that, with proper organization of business processes, an outsourcing company can efficiently solve highly complex problems and conform to customer’s requirements in practically any branch of economy. We entered the insurance market last year and started support of IT infrastructures of many well-known trading networks, which earned us the status of one of the leading players on the Russian IT outsourcing market.”
